Silence is golden.

Do you appreciate silence as much as I do? After a day of having 150 students pass through my room, playing, singing, shouting, laughing, cursing, yelling, and calling my name, riding home in silence (or to NPR) is the sweetest sound! But here's what I don't understand-people these days loved being plugged in to their music. Don't you forfeit being tuned in to your surroundings with those things?
I've never worn headphones and doubt I ever will. I'm afraid I'll miss something. Like silence.

That Diana is a computer wizard! Speaking of . . . Wasn't Ryan trying to get us doing this several years ago? His family's finally catching up to him.

How do young folks get this? I think they're wired for computers.
